Time Travelling Milkman, NIZO food research B.V. and Duynie Group receive European ERDF support for an ambitious project to take plant-based, circular ingredients from sunflower seeds to the next level.

Central is the scaling up of Oleocream and the further development of new cream powders, sunflower fibres and soluble sunflower proteins. These ingredients are playing a growing role in the next generation of plant-based dairy and meat alternatives, where flavor, creaminess and sustainability are becoming increasingly important. The parties involved see great opportunities to reduce both food waste and water and CO₂ use.

With support from ERDF East 2021—2027 the project is getting a strong push towards industrial application. The investment is in line with the wider regional ambition to help accelerate innovative scale-ups and SMEs in order to future-proof the circular food chain.
