SAIA Agrobotics raises €10 million in Series A

SAIA Agrobotics raises €10 million for breakthrough in autonomous greenhouse technology.

SAIA Agrobotics has a €10 million Series A Round won from Check24 Impact, the EIC Fund, Navus Ventures and Oost NL. The investment gives the fast-growing company a strong boost in a sector where the demand for sustainable, high-tech food production is exploding and labor shortages are becoming increasingly acute.

SAIA is building what it sees as the next big leap in greenhouse automation: a system where the plant comes to the robot instead of the other way around. Thanks to this approach, a robot can accurately scan and harvest each fruit, creating space for an almost fully automated, data-driven greenhouse. This year, the technology was put into practice for the first time in the world's first automated greenhouse, where Growers United is now working with the system.

The new funding follows six years of intensive development, multiple international patents and previous investment rounds. With a total of over €20 million raised capital, SAIA is taking the next step towards the large-scale deployment of autonomous greenhouses worldwide.
