The Foodlog Café @WFC on July 2nd will address the question of how we distribute clean water as it becomes scarcer.
Clean water in the Netherlands seems like a given. You turn on the tap and it's there. However, that certainty is increasingly diminishing. Drought, pollution, climate change, agriculture, industry, nature, and housing development all put pressure on the same sources.
We don't just need to be more frugal with water. It's also about choices. Which users are allowed to expand? Where do we draw the lines? Who pays for what? Similar to land, energy, and nitrogen, water is becoming a distribution challenge.
